What a pleasure having Mike Aish back on the Elevation Trail Show! One of our favorite
guests. We dive into his gritty Leadville 100 mile run, stunning 100 mile mountain bike race, thoughts on doping, and his future, which looks like it will include Gary and I managing Mike’s entry into the Worlds Masters Games in New Zealand next year, representing the elite Elevation Trail Team.
After a six month vacation from producing a show, Gary and Tim return to Elevation Trail with an update on things and delve a bit into what motivates people to do or not do activities in their lives. Really, it’s just another conversation about life in general.
Thanks for tuning into Elevation Trail today as we welcome our guest, Josh Gordon of Sports Conflict Institute (sportsconflict.org). We talk about risk management, conflict resolution, doping, athlete personalities, and Gary’s weight loss program. #feedgary
Hope you enjoy the show and big thanks to Josh for joining us.
Heavy show today, right down to a little glam rock intro. Today Gary David, Andrea Feucht, and myself (Tim Long, duh) chat about several things, including DNFs not showing up in results, both in individual races and in accumulated race results like Ultrasignup. We also discuss various aspects of race directing and some other topics like overcrowding in ultras. Download us in iTunes and take us with you on your runs this weekend. Thanks for listening.
Alissa from San Francisco stylin’ hard in her Elevation Trail hat.
Welcome to Elevation Trail and the FM Show. This week Gary David and I discuss sociology stuff like asking what makes an activity a sport or play. We also talk about the pitfalls and benefits of organization in sports, rules, morals, and growth, while fitting in a little about the San Diego 100 coming up, Skyrunning’s Ronda Dels Cims 170k in Andorra (Lizzy Hawker is out of race due to injury), and other stuff. It’s a long show!
Welcome to Elevation Trail and the Footfeathers Show. He’s tall. He’s lean. He races in crew length socks. Join me on this edition of the Footfeathers Show where I chat with Dylan Bowman, who’s settling into his new scene in the Bay Area and gearing up for a good shot at contending for the win at Western States 100 in a few weeks. Hope you enjoy the show.
How about that show on Monday? Wasn’t it just a fun hoot?! Gag. Hope you enjoy today’s real FM Show this week where we discuss the purpose behind Monday’s spoof, our “agenda”, the real preview of Transvulcania, and a brief overview of the Quad Rock 50 Mile.
